The Secret of Bosque Doradal is a private reserve that was founded with the aim of protecting the environment, recovering the tropical rainforest of Magdalena Medio, and all the creatures that inhabit it. That's why we want you to help us conserve it, and your visit will be an unconditional support for the conservation and restoration of this natural jewel.

Below you will find the conditions under which we will provide our service, always prioritizing without exception the well-being of the ecosystem, your health, and that of your companions. You will also find a series of recommendations to make your experience unforgettable

Confirm your reservation:

To confirm your reservation, you must send an email to secretodelbosquedoradal@gmail.com attaching the proof of payment for 50% of the tour value per registered person. (This amount is non-refundable).

Documents

Send the scanned identity document of each person who will take the tour along with the payment receipt to the email secretodelbosquedoradal@gmail.com. The physical document must be presented on the day of the reservation before starting the tour to the personnel of El Secreto Del Bosque Doradal.

Health 

In this adventure, we will be exposed to the sun, heat, and rain, both inside and outside the forest. The terrain has irregular geography and we will be walking between 2.5 to 5 hours (depending on the tour). The nearest health center is 40 minutes away, so you must ensure that both you and your companions are able to participate in this activity and do not have any illness or limitations that could jeopardize your health or that of others while taking the tour.

Transportatio

The value of the tours does not include transportation or meals. Regarding transportation, our reservations team can assist you in coordinating the round trip to Doradal.

Food Service

The objective of this project is to intervene and impact the ecosystem as little as possible. At El Secreto del Bosque, we do NOT offer food service to our visitors.

Zero Waste

At El Secreto Del Bosque, you won't find trash cans as there's no proper way to dispose of it. Therefore, we kindly ask you to avoid bringing plastic or packaging materials as much as possible. However, if you bring them for food during the tour, please keep the bottles and packaging in your backpack and take them back to town where you'll find proper bins and containers to dispose of them.

Pets

During the tour, you will be in a natural ecosystem that has not been designed for your pets. Therefore, for the welfare of the wildlife, the well-being of your pet, and the proper development of the activity, pets are NOT allowed to enter

Terms and Conditions

By paying 50% of the tour, you accept all of our terms and conditions:

  1. The entrance to the reserve is only allowed for adults or minors accompanied by a responsible adult.

  2. The tours are carried out under the supervision and guidance of our team, following previously established routes.

  3. Pets are not allowed, as well as the collection of plants, fruits, seeds, and any other natural element without prior authorization.

  4. The use of any type of weapon is prohibited, as well as activities that may affect the fauna and flora of the reserve.

  5. Visitors must respect the rules of coexistence and environmental care, avoiding any behavior that affects the tranquility and harmony of the place.

  6. If you have any illness or health condition that may put your life or the lives of other visitors at risk, you must inform the reserve's team before starting the tour.

  7. Visitors must follow the recommendations of the team regarding clothing, hydration, and other necessary aspects for the tour.

  8. The reserve reserves the right of admission and stay, in case any visitor fails to comply with the service conditions or affects the well-being of the ecosystem and other visitors.

  9. Visitors are responsible for any damage caused to the reserve or its facilities during their stay.

  10. The reserve is exempt from any liability for accidents or incidents that may occur during the tours, as long as they are not a consequence of a failure in the provision of the service.

Recommendations

Sun Protection

During our tour, we will be exposed to the sun all the time, so the use of sunscreen is very important to make your experience pleasant during and after the tour.

Clothing

During our tours, we will enter the forest, walk along the creek bed, cross areas with dense vegetation, which is why we recommend that you wear comfortable clothing, long pants and a long-sleeved shirt or sweatshirt, in addition to bringing a hat or cap to protect yourself from the sun. (Shorts are not allowed.)

footwear

We recommend you to bring hiking boots or rubber boots, so you can comfortably and safely complete the tours. (Sneakers, sandals or flip-flops are not allowed)

Rain

In case of rain, the tours will still take place as it is a unique opportunity to experience the flora and fauna in their natural habitat during this weather. However, we recommend that you bring a raincoat or poncho to protect yourself from the rain and keep your belongings dry.

Hydration

Staying hydrated during the experience is key to enjoying the tour, that's why we will have points where you can refill your water, you can also bring your own rehydration sachets to hydrate quickly.

Animal Care

The objective of this experience is for us to share, learn about, and respect ALL the animals that inhabit this territory. Therefore, it is prohibited to feed, touch or mistreat any animal that we encounter during the visit.
